Since the Indians were living on the "American land" they were forced to move to reservations where the land was in horrible condition and it was very hard to farm in. The travel to the reservations were very dangerous too, about 700 people died just for going to the reservation. There would be many diseases and soldiers killing the Indians, the population decreased very quickly. The Western Expansion of the European-Americans really hurt the Native Americans and their culture. Some describe it as a genocide which is where you try to get rid of a race. We basically wanted to do that and it is very sad to know we could do that to someone, some innocent people.
